TERM DATES 2022-2023

Holiday Leave

Please note that holidays should not be taken during term time. Following the guidance from the government and Walsall Children’s Services, we cannot authorise leave during term time for holidays or other non-emergencies. Holidays taken during term time can adversely affect your child's education and attendance record. Should you still choose to do this, you will need to complete a leave of absence form to be returned at least two weeks prior to the absence. Any unauthorised leave of four consecutive days or more will currently result in a fine of £60 per child per parent, issued by Walsall Children’s Services.

If you want to request leave of absence for exceptional circumstances such as travel for a funeral etc, you should make an appointment to discuss the issue with the Headteacher.

If you take your child out of school without authorisation, the school is bound to inform the education welfare team and this may action a visit from a member of their staff and subsequently you may also be fined.
